Sworn, legal and official translations
The translator of these documents must be authorized by the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) in order to be considered official. There is a minimum price per document for this type of translation.
The sworn translator acts as a notary public and certifies the veracity of the translated document.
Every sworn translation is delivered with an official stamp on official paper.
When are sworn translations required?
Public administrations, courts and universities usually require sworn translations of all official documents: notarial acts, marriage certificates, court orders, official diplomas and degrees, reports, etc.
